I am a Music EC-12 Certified Educator with a bachelors degree from The University of St. Thomas and a Masters of Music Education from Texas Christian University. I am currently serving as the Director of Music for the St. Anthony Marie de Claret Catholic Church and teaching as a guest educator for local schools. Additionally, I have managed my music studio business since 2010, working in several cities across Texas, including Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Austin.

In my educational career, I have taught all grade levels in the public and private school sectors across Texas since 2011 as well as higher education during my graduate assistantship with Texas Christian University. I first began teaching private music lessons and children’s ensemble at the University of St. Thomas Music Preparatory school. I continued interest in the private sector by building my own lessons studio Robert Murillo Private Studio with networking students from takelessons.com where I have taught over 3000 lessons. I continued on to work with several school districts such as Stafford MSD, Fort Worth Diocese, Irving ISD, Del Valle ISD, IDEA Schools, and the Austin Diocese.

As a researcher and writer, I have produced several educational documents such as the “Two Hand Piano: Preschool Suzuki Piano Curriculum” for RBR Muzik in Irving as well as my graduate research project, “The 21st Century Digital Music Curriculum” which was published in the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association Online Journal.

I am a dedicated, creative individual who is well versed in the field of education and program management, making me an excellent candidate for any type of education team. Please contact me for additional information in how I could be able to serve your institutional needs.
